This policy explains how Builty handles information through this website and when we design, build, and launch custom software for our clients.

When you contact us. If you email us, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, email address, company, and the details of your message.
When we work with you. During a project, we may access information held in your systems and tools. Depending on the project, this can include personal information about your team or your customers.
02 How we use information
We use information to:
- Reply to your messages and talk about a possible project.
- Plan, build, deliver, and support the work we agree on.
- Manage our business relationship with you, including proposals and invoicing.
- Keep our work and systems secure.

We don’t sell personal information.
03 Information in client projects
When we build software for you, we handle the information in your systems on your behalf. You decide what information is involved and what it’s used for. We use it only to deliver the agreed work, and we follow your instructions and the terms of our agreement.
Specific commitments, such as confidentiality and how data is handled during and after a project, are set out in the agreement for each project.
04 Service providers and infrastructure
We rely on trusted providers for things like hosting, email, cloud infrastructure, and development tools. They process information only as needed to provide their services.
The software we build can run on your infrastructure or ours. We agree with you which setup and providers each project uses. Depending on those providers, information may be processed in a country other than yours.
05 AI integrations
Some projects connect AI services to your documents, tools, or workflows. When they do, we agree with you which AI providers are used and what information they may receive. Those providers process information under their own terms and policies.
06 Data retention
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Information from client projects is kept or deleted as set out in the project agreement. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.
07 Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle. No system connected to the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
08 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, or to object to how it’s used. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
If your information is part of a client project, we’ll work with that client to respond, since they decide how it’s used.
